I use it almost everyday to make a smoothie, and they are exceptionally fast and easy to make, with very little cleanup (the only downside is that I've lost some of my re-sealable lids and so it's a bit of a pain to make more then 2 smoothies at a time). I also use the flat blade as a coffee/flax seed grinder (you can buy a pound of flax seed for a $1 and grind it yourself...or pay $10 for preground stuff). ...more

First thing she used it for was to make ground beef for chili, which was delicious. She said it worked great and had no complaints other than that it was difficult and gross to clean. But I guess I would expect this from something that grinds meat. Apparently if you use it to grind bread afterwards it gets all of the unwanted leftover flesh out of the grinder. He has been really happy with it, but I should say this is not a commercial food grinder that you will be able to grind up 90 lbs of meat at a time without any babying. The first time we used it, we learned quickly that any of the white connective tissue will clog the grinding plates.
