We use it all the time during family movies (Sandlot is so much fun to watch with this! "You're killing me Smalls!") or for relaxed conversation. It's great for the kids sleepovers, too. Be careful about the ceramic dishes that come with it - we dropped one and that was all she wrote. I recommend stocking up on a few extra of the Sterno cooking fuel cans if you plan to use it a lot.
