I have tried numerous other plastic disc presses and have come to the conclusion that the metal discs are the ticket! The Kuhn Rikon produces a nice cookie shape with many pattern choices. Instruction booklet is specific about NOT refrigerating the dough prior to use and NOT using non-stick pans. It suggests using cool, clean baking sheets, stoneware works best.
