Gorgeous blade this knife cuts extremely well but there is one thing that i did not like about it and it is that as many others said about this knife line is that they are a bit small and it can be difficult to hold if you (like me have big hands) at first the light weight felt odd because i am used to the heaver western ones, others have brought up the packaging is horrible it is a zip tie can make it difficult to remove, and if your not careful you can really hurt your self fortunately i did not but just watch what ...more

I bought it with the ceramic sharpener and sharpen it ever 5-6 time I use it and it stays dangerously sharp. Bought it for her as a present because she wanted a quality knife. I only used it once & I don't want to use anything else now. For those who love to cook & seek a well made knife then look no further. The balance from handle to tip is excellent, handle is solid & ergonomic, & the blade zips through about anything. I found that the midway through threading, the bacon will break but I guess that's just the tougher cut of meat that I was dealing with. Ideally I would like to see the needle made of solid metal and maybe a little thicker. ...more

The design allows you to push the needle and the attached strip of lard all the way through the meat. I have not tried the kind that have wooden handles at the back, but being able to just pull the whole unit through was so easy that it seems like it must be better than the sort of modified "push" you would have to use with the handled type. ...more
