[2] Rating: 4 Date: 2006-05-30 Summary: Very useful, but limited by the feed tube ... These are great discs for the food processor. They are sharp and work well. The problem is really that the machine they fit has a small feed tube. I e-mailed KitchenAid and asked them to sell a separate replacement lid with a wide-mouth feed tube to really take advantage of the french fry disc, and others. They said that is not going to happen. The french fry disc is not really useful for french fries because they come out very short. However, it is great for dicing fruits and vegetables--tomatoes, peppers, onions, ...more
