It can be noisy,..but come on, who expects to crush ice silently? I'll fess up to using it at least twice a month, for frozen drinks, usually making anywhere from six to seven batches of frozen drinks per usage. By now, I would have buried a lesser blender. I've had no problems using various sized ice cubes, no pre-crushing required for this unit. None of my guests have complained of slurping up a chunk of ice in their frozen concoctions. ...more
[2] Rating: 4 Date: 2007-11-29 Summary: Oster is great ... Oster products are made to last - I've had great experience with them and know of some of these blenders to last at least 20 years. For some reason my beehive motor went berserk and stopped working maybe due to an overload, but Oster was quick to replace the piece for free after 4 years of use. Maybe mine was an outlier, but I still recommend. ...more
