I have been pulling an average of 7 corks a week for that intire time. Just recently the main gear that lifts the cork screw snapped in two. I believe that the problem was excessive wear between the cork screw and the cork screw holder allowing the gear to miss align, bind up and with extra force from me the gear snapped.
