Rival Oval Smart Crock Pot - Stainless Steel (5.5 qt.)
Feature: ... Manufactured to the Highest Quality Available.; Design is stylish and innovative. Satisfaction Ensured.; Great Gift Idea. ...more
Customer Reviews — [1] Rating: 5 Date: 2008-08-16 Summary: Not all models are created equal, I guess ... It is understandable that some of the reviewers are upset with their Rival Crock-Pots, and I wouldn't have a way of knowing if their claims are true or false. Unfortunately, this thread of reviews seems to lump together all sorts of different Rival models, with differing sizes and features. My review is for model number 5855C. I have used it and I have absolutely no problems with it. It has not "cracked"; it does not boil the food. To be honest, it does exactly what I would expect from a Crock-Pot: It cooks efficiently, ...more
[2] Rating: 5 Date: 2008-06-11 Summary: Handy Features ... We have cooked with this twice now and it has proven itself worth of purchasing. The timer with the automatic feature is great because my wife and I both work and it doesn't overcook before we get home but automatically goes to warm when the preset cook time has run out. I actually ate BBQ out of it last night (Pretty Tasty). The oval shape is convenient for roasts as well. We have a limited time with the product but have been very pleased thus far. ...more
[3] Rating: 4 Date: 2008-03-16 Summary: I got a good one ... I received this from Rival as a replacement for a smartpot that had the handle fall off of the lid on the first use. I was skeptical but gave this one a try. So far it seems to be OK--I have cooked some of my favorites in it and they have not burned, although the cooker did test a little hot when I tested it. It is very attractive to look at. I also like the countdown timer better than the old smartpots. Thank you Rival for making it right; I got a better, more expensive model that seems to be working well. Not only ...more

    KitchenAid Blender KSB560: White
Customer Reviews — [1] Rating: 4 Date: 2010-07-27 Summary: Solid blender... but the pitcher did break on me. ... This is a very solid blender with a ton of power, but it is not without its caveats. First, it is loud. Very loud. I'm afraid to use it past 10 PM because I don't want my neighbors to be upset. Ice crush mode is almost deafening. Second, it may be too powerful for its pitcher. The spinning blade assembly on my blender broke after a few months of use and it appears from other reviews that I am not alone in having that problem. I was making a smoothie with frozen strawberries and ice and the assembly broke and made some ...more
[2] Rating: 4 Date: 2010-07-26 Summary: worth paying a little more for a good blender ... I was a little disappointed at first because I thought I ordered the one with the glass pitcher, but this was polycarbonate. I thought it would not hold up, but it has been great. It crushes ice really well and it is a little quieter than the one I replaced. I make a lot of smoothies and it really does a great job of blending everything. ...more
[3] Rating: 5 Date: 2010-07-23 Summary: Forget the Oster Classic - THIS is THE blender to have ... My first blender - a Chrome Oster Classic Blender w/ a Glass Pitcher was a wedding present, and was pricey. I thought that blender was top of the line at one time. Who knew? I thought that a blender that you might frequently find behind a high volume bar/restaurant would surely hold up to the type of use I would put it through at home (protein shakes, smoothies and the like). After only a few years of light use, the pitcher and base of my Oster Classic stripped out, making it almost impossible to turn the blades and ...more
[4] Rating: 5 Date: 2010-07-22 Summary: KitchenAid blender ... This is a very powerful blender! I have used it everyday for 2 weeks and have not seen any leaking. ...more
Editorial Reviews — ... Product Description | When entertaining, keep the smoothies and iced drinks coming with this 0.9 horsepower blender that's built for back-to-back blending. The 56 oz. contoured pitcher slides ingredients into the blade for faster blending. Patented blade strikes at 4 planes for optimum performance. Commercial-grade polycarbonate pitcher is remarkably strong and lightweight and resists temperature extremes and scratches and stains. Push of a button crushes ice evenly and you can pulse at any speed. Puree hot...more
